“国际青年学者地大论坛”旨在面向海外邀请不同学术背景的青年才俊，围绕国际科学前沿、热点研究领域开展学术研讨，互相启迪，开拓视野，增强国际交流与合作，引进海外优秀青年人才。 

一、学科领域 

论坛的主要内容包括学术报告、研讨会和讨论。涉及学科领域包括：地质学、地质资源与地质工程、海洋科学、海洋工程、大气科学、地球物理学、地理学、土木工程、水利工程、测绘科学与技术、石油与天然气工程、环境科学与工程、安全科学与工程、农业资源与环境、珠宝设计、数学、物理学、生物学、生态学、机械工程、仪器科学与技术、材料科学与工程、化学工程与技术、信息与通信工程、控制科学与工程、计算机科学与技术、软件工程、管理科学与工程、统计学、工商管理、公共管理、土地资源管理、理论经济学、应用经济学、设计学等。 

二、报名条件 

年龄在40岁以下；具有海外知名大学博士学位，或者具有国内博士学位并在海外全职从事科研工作2年及以上；目前未全职在国内工作；在相关领域取得一定成绩，具有一定国际影响和较强的学术发展潜力的优秀青年人才。 

三、申请流程 

1、符合条件的青年学者请下载并填写《“国际青年学者地大论坛”报名表》（见附件）。 

2. 报名表和个人简历请发至邮箱job@cug.edu.cn。报名截止时间为2017年2月15日。 

3、学校将于2017年2月20日前向受邀学者发送邀请函。 

4、受邀学者于收到邀请函一周内填写回执并回复确认是否参会。 

四、论坛安排 

论坛将于2017年3月17日-20日在中国地质大学（武汉）举行。具体安排如下： 

3月17日，报到 

3月18日-19日，学校主论坛、学院分论坛、交流、参观、座谈等 

3月20日，离会 

五、差旅与住宿

受邀参会的青年学者自订机票，学校报销往返机票费用（实报实销，机票根据国家规定限报经济舱）。论坛期间食宿由学校统一安排，费用由学校承担。

Announcement of The First CUG Forum for Overseas Young Scholars 

The CUG Forum for Overseas Young Scholars (CUG Forum) aims to create a communication platform for overseas young scholars of various research fields to discuss cutting-edge research spotlights and to promote academic exchanges and cooperation. The Forum also offers young scholars a taste of research environment and package of know-how for research in China, especially at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). Meanwhile, the Forum will provide opportunities for faculty recruitment, furthering the CUG’s goal of bring outstanding overseas scholars into the university. 

ACADEMIC FIELDS 

The CUG Forum includes academic lectures, workshops and discussions. The Forum welcomes participants in the fields of Geology, Geological Resources and Geological Engineering, Marine Science, Marine Engineering, Atmospheric Sciences, Geophysics, Geography, Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Surveying and Mapping Science and Technology, Oil and Gas Engineering, Environmental Sciences and Engineering, Security Science and Engineering, Agriculture Resources and Environment, Jewelry Design, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Ecology, Mechanical Engineering, Instrument Science and Technology, Materials Science and Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Management Science and Engineering, Statistics, Business Administration, Land Resource Management, Applied Economics, Design Science, etc. 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPLICATION 

Qualified applicants should be under 40 years old, holding a doctoral degree from overseas well-known university or research institute, or holding a doctoral degree from a domestic university or research institute and have minimum two years of overseas work experience, and not currently holding a full-time position in China. Applicants with good publication records and academic achievements are encouraged to apply. 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE 

1. Download and complete the application form (Application Form of CUG Forum for Overseas Young Scholars). 

2. Send the form with current Curriculum Vitae to job@cug.edu.cn by February 15th, 2017. 

3. Qualified applicants will receive an official invitation letter before February 20th, 2017. 

4. The applicants intended to attend the forum should respond with the confirmation note within a week after receiving the invitation letter.

March 18-19, Opening ceremony, University Forum, Faculty/School/Department Symposiums, campus tour, etc. 

March 20, Departure

TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATIOIN

The CUG-Wuhan will cover the following trip costs for all invitees: 1) transportation costs including an economy-class round-trip air ticket from home institute to CUG-Wuhan; 2) accommodation and meal costs in Wuhan.
