Postdoc position in Tongji-Yale Center of Advanced Networks and Networked Systems (SNLab)

Founded by Professor Y. Richard Yang (http://www.cs.yale.edu/homes/yry/) in the summer of 2014, and hosted in the Institute of Advanced Studies at Tongji University, SNLab will provide a stimulating, world-class environment for the advancement of both theory and systems of networks and networked systems. 

With continued development and wide deployment of advanced, transformative networks and systems techniques, such as software defined networks, Internet of things, 5G networks, mobile networks, network function virtualization, and cloud computing, networks and networked systems remain an exciting, dynamic field that new ideas continue to emerge and new systems continue to be developed and deployed. 

We invites applicants to the postdoctoral program of Computer Science at Tongji University, to join Professor Yang in forming the founding team of the Tongji-Yale Center of Advanced Networks and Networked Systems (SNLab). 

SNLab will excel in a small, world-class environment, where we provide: 

-Dual Postdoc (Tongji Postdoc, Yale Postdoc Fellow) 

-Competitive salary similar to Yale Postdoc position; 

-Working location will be both in Tongji University and Yale University; 

-Additional support for applying for China Postdoc innovation talent plan (博士后创新人才计划), with 600, 000 RMB for two years. 

Primary Job Duties 

Researcher will be related to networks and networked systems, with special focus on SDN and NFV techniques. Experience with networking and system design techniques is desired. 

Qualifications 

-Ph.D. degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related engineering or science discipline; 

-Strong academic performance (i.e. high GPA); 

-Programming experience in C++, C, or a related language; 

-Programming languages, distributed systems. 

-Publication record indicative of relevant research expertise; 

-Demonstrated research community leadership through activities such as participation in student or professional organizations, service on committees, workshop and/or conference organization, and editorial roles.
